I received some green hair algae with a frag that ended up spreading a bit. I heard about the rave reviews from Vibrant so I thought I'd give it a shot. Low and behold within 2 weeks of dosing per the instructions Cyano bacteria took over everything. This is what I get for trying to take a short cut. There are a lot of success stories with Vibrant but there are also just as many horror stories out there once you start looking. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK. I'm going to try and tackle this the old fashion way. If things don't work out I may have to resort to tank reboot.
Fish tank equipment:
20g Petco $1 per gallon special nano reef tank I converted from freshwater to saltwater. 2 months old. No skimmer, no sump. Only a Aqua Clear 50 HOB filter and XP Aqua Duetto ATO.
Dosing .60 ml Tropic Marin All for Reef twice a day via Kamoer X1 dosing pump.
Lighting: AI Hydra 26HD with custom settings and 3DReefing light diffuser.
