Since my teenage years the Mitsubishi Evo 9 has always been a realistic dream car. But after owning one for 8 years, do I still feel the same way? In today's video, I give you an updated walkaround of my Evo, the few changes I've made, and go for a drive in the car that brings me happiness and stress.
"Anthony, why don't you drive your Evo?!" "Is your Evo BROKEN?!" "Do you even OWN an Evo?!" I get these question a lot and I hope this video is helpful in explaining myself. In the last few years, the Honda Civic has become the star of my channel and the car that's most relatable to everyone. The Civic has also been the car that's shown me that it's not all about going fast to have fun. Since prioritizing the Civic for so long, the Evo has turned into a full time garage queen. So my plans for this 16 year old Evo have shifted from something that I should modify, into something that I feel I should preserve.
And yes, I know that not driving your cool car is like saving it for the next guy. Life IS short, and you should enjoy every minute of driving your race car. My Evo isn't 10k mileage car, it's not 100% perfect, but it's undoubtedly the nicest Evo I would own in my lifetime. But if I'm not going to drive it like I should, does that mean it's time to move on? Perhaps a Civic Type R? MK5 Supra? I don't know what the answer is.
There's a few Youtubers that seem to be doing Evo content right like Dustin Williams, Devin Niemela, Evan Shanks, and Gears and Gasoline. However, their priorities and plans for their Evo's are much different than mine. So I may leave the heavily modified Evo's for them while I figure out my plans for mine. As always, thanks for watching and hopefully this gives you all some insight on the car! Now back to the Civic content you know and love!
