#TransformingEducation | On the occasion of #1YearOfNEP, Shri Narendra Modi, Hon'ble Prime Minister of India, launched the "Academic Bank of Credit (ABC)" initiative, which will provide multiple entry and exit options for students. "Academic Bank of Credits (ABC)" refers to an online store-house entity of academic credit database service mechanism developed in accordance with the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 (3 of 1956) under the technical collaboration of the National eGovernance Division of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, with the Central Government approval, to provide students of the nation with academic flexibility. Once the students become account holders, ABC enables seamless student mobility between or within degree-granting Higher Educational Institutions via a formal credit revolving system, i.e. credit recognition, credit accumulation, credit transfers, and credit redemption, to promote distributed and flexible teaching-learning.
