Along the lake I found two Bufflehead ducks swimming back and forth in the water. There was a male and a female Bufflehead swimming together. The male Bufflehead has a black neck with a large white patch on its cheek and the female is a darker color with a small white patch on its cheek. These Buffleheads are also seen swimming in circles, diving into the water, and preening themselves.
