Centre promises amicable solution to existing Border issues in the Northeast Region

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today assured BJP MPs from the Northeast that the Centre would go all out to bring about an amicable solution to the inter-state border disputes in the region. During a meeting with the MPs in New Delhi, Prime Minister Modi also expressed his solidarity with the people of the Northeast as a whole. Talking exclusively to our editor in chief Wasbir Hussain, Arunachal East BJP MP Tapir Gao said the main focus of the meeting was the Assam Mizoram border dispute. The NE BJP MPs during the deliberations conveyed to Prime Minister Modi that everyone is united as far as resolving the long-pending dispute is concerned. In response to this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said his government will do everything possible to see the Northeast must proper in terms of development peace and tranquility. Meanwhile, the Northeast MPs Forum has urged both the states to maintain peace and calm in the border.
