External HDMI video monitor for LumaFusion on iPad Pro M1 2021

In this video I'm showing you how to connect the iPad Pro to a TV or monitor or basically any kind of HDMI display and in the process showing how to connect LumaFusion to an external monitor or TV.

This is so we can specifically monitor LumaFusion version 3 on an external monitor, display or TV.

This will allow LumaFusion to either be HDMI mirrored to the monitor, TV or display. Or so that we can preview the LumaFusion video monitor externally on a TV, display or monitor in full screen up to 4K in widescreen 16:9.

To connect the iPad Pro M1 2021 and Lumafusion to an external monitor via HDMI, I am using the Dockteck USB C hub. This has a 4K 60FPS HDMI output, USB C for charging or direct power, two USB 3 ports, mini SD card reader, full size SD card reader and a gigabit ethernet port. This is the best USB C hub for the iPad Pro M1 2021 that I have found so far.

!!!!BEWARE: THIS USB C HUB DOES NOT WORK PROPERLY WITH THE IPAD PRO 2020!!!!

To connect the iPad Pro 2020 and LumaFusion to an external HDMI TV monitor or display, I'm using a simple USB C to HDMI cable by CableCreation. This is the easiest way to connect an iPad Pro to a TV, monitor or any HDMI display. This cable is also HDR compatible.

I also a show a USB C to DisplayPort for the iPad Pro. This work in exactly the same way as the USB C to HDMI cable, is simple to use and is also 8K compatible.

The important thing to note here is that both the USB C hub and the USB C to HDMI cable are DP alt mode 1.4 compatible. This means DisplayPort alternate mode, or DP alternate mode. This means that both interfaces are capable of full 4K 60FPS and very importantly will show the iPad Pro screen in full height over HDMI to the TV or monitor. It also means that LumaFusion will also go full screen 4K 60FPS 16:9 with the video output preview.

In the video I also give technical information about how the hub and cable connect and work. I also go into some detail about various technical aspects of the iPad Pro M1 and the iPad Pro 2020, specifically to do with their resolutions, aspect ratios, frame rates etc. And also explain the difference with iPad Pro 11" and iPad Pro 12.9" with regard their different aspect ratios and how they work on an external monitor and are scaled to fit the height of the external 16:9 4K monitor.
