A recruiting trip to West Point and the attacks on the World Trade Center lead FLG COO, Meg Vrabel, to serve her country as an Army Officer. On the 20th anniversary of the attacks, she shares her story of sacrifice and service.
“I went up to West Point for a recruiting trip on Friday, spent Saturday in the barracks, sat down with coaches on Sunday… I was not convinced the military was for me. On Monday morning, 9/10, we drove by the New York skyline. The next day, 9/11, sitting in homeroom in a West Point sweatshirt and seeing the second tower hit was the moment I decided I would go to West Point and serve my country. In that moment, it changed the trajectory of my life. It was a moment of clarity I knew I had to serve.”
