Yasmeen Ghauri, the Elaborate Classic Style, and Frida Gustavsson, the Refined Classic Style, use Ornament in a very similar way: they both embellish their Fabrics to stunning effect with a variety of beads, pearls, embroidery and sometimes sequins. This enhancement of their Fabrics doesn't merely look nice, however; it also brings them both into their Inspirations of Style.
As an Elaborate Classic Style, Yasmeen is inspired by the number 5, as you can see in her Elaborate Classic Style Profile Video. This Inspiration translates directly into five locations of Style emphasis: neck, solar plexus, waist, true hip and feet. These five areas are the most advantageous spots for Fabric embellishment for Yasmeen, enhancing the impact of her garments in an intense way.
As a Refined Classic Style, Frida is inspired by the monthly Moon cycle. She imitates the strong light of the full Moon with Ornament that centers itself at her solar plexus, her Style Focal Point. Just as the light of the Moon dissipates the farther away each day is from fullness, so the amount of Fabric embellishment diminishes in both directions, the farther away from her solar plexus. Beads, pearls, embroidery and sometimes sequins are used to adorn Frida's garments, transforming them by enhancing their power.
Both Yasmeen and Frida benefit from a targeted use of Fabric embellishment, whereas a uniform embellishment will not be anywhere near as effective. Both of these two Styles, the Elaborate and Refined Classics, use Fabric adornment at the Solar Plexus, so their enhanced Fabrics can look quite similar; and although Frida as a Refined Classic can wear much more Design Detail like tucks, small pleats, shirrings, etc., the size of her Fabric embellishment will be smaller than Yasmeen's as an Elaborate Classic.
Unlike most of the Style pairs, the Elaborate and Refined Classics are part of the same Style Family, sharing the same Style shape (oval) and dividing up the Fabric Qualities.
Like all Style pairs, Yasmeen and Frida also share the same sleeve, skirt and pant Lines; they share the same use of Color, coordinated Colors; and they share the same Mood of Style, as shown in their previous video. The influence for all this sharing; is their planet, Mercury; and this influence extends to their major type of Ornament, Fabric enhancement. Embellishing their Fabrics is an important part of achieving their artistic Inspirations in both their Styles.
