Sialkot-Kharian Motorway | The New 4 Lane Road To Reduce Distance Impressively | Documentary

The 70-km-long four-lane Sialkot-Kharian Motorway project is being completed on a two-way basis under the public-private partnership agreement with the NHA. The CDWP had approved 69 km of "Sialkot (Sambarial) -Kharian Motorway". It will also have a controlled access with a barrier of 0.6 meters with a median and a right lane for 100 meters. In the next phase, it is being extended to Rawalpindi (115 km). In this project, 69 km green field 4 lane motorway will be constructed on the basis of Blood Operated Transfer (BOT) at a cost of Rs. 27.8 billion. The project will be completed within a period of 24 months after obtaining the financial closure. The concession period of the project is 25 years including construction period.

The project includes a 49 km Gujarat Motorway track from Sambarial to Kharian. The Lahore-Sialkot Motorway will link the Sialkot Wazirabad GT Road near Sambarial, while the Sambarial Kharian Motorway will be launched from there.
