There haven't been any 'solid forecast' in the 2021 IPCC report

Liberal Senator Gerard Rennick says he would need “scientists to demonstrate that by holding emission levels where they are” it will also stabilise the temperature levels as well before supporting the net-zero target.

“If there were some technological roadmap there that suggested to me that we can improve productivity and increase jobs and increase the productivity in the country, incomes, etcetera, I’d certainly back it,” Mr Rennick told Sky News Australia.

“But at this stage I haven’t seen any detail as to how we’re going to get there, and ultimately, emissions in themself are a means to an end.

“The whole idea behind this is it’s going to reduce, or at least limit, temperature rises.

“I’d also need to see scientists demonstrate that by lowering or by holding emission levels where they are then they’re going to hold temperature levels where they are.

“There haven’t been any solid forecast in the IPCC paper that recently come out.”
