During the college football matchup between Maryland and Illinois, Maryland DB Lavonte Gater was ejected for targeting when he went airborne and launched himself at Illinois QB Brandon Peters. He made contact with Peters's helmet while in the air, and after review, he was ejected from the game for targeting. Maryland currently leads Illinois 3-0 in the first half.
