The WebAssembly Component Model is a language-neutral approach to building web assembly applications in small units that can be assembled into a larger application. Using the metaphor of lego blocks, Lin Clark (a Senior Principal Software Engineer at Fastly) discusses the background, roadmap, and design goals for creating the Web Assembly Component Model. Lin is a central figure working on Web Assembly (wasm), Web Assembly System Interface (WASI), and now Web Assembly Component Model.
