After Hurricane Ida ravaged the Northeast, heavy rains returned to New York and New Jersey just eight weeks later. For homeowner Marlon Valle, that’s unwelcome news — Ida caused his basement to flood and an entire wall to explode, pouring water into the house. In Brooklyn, a driver and biker attempted to drive through a flood. And subway officials have clearly learned lessons from Ida.
