Tristan Snell, the prosecutor that took down Trump University, has been very outspoken about the latest developments in the Matt Gaetz saga, and Snell is openly questioning whether or not Gaetz may have tried to "buy" a presidential pardon before Trump left office. We know that Gaetz's buddy Joel Greenberg tried to get a pardon for himself (while also mentioning Gaetz) through Roger Stone, but the fact that the Secret Service is involved in the investigation suggests there could be Executive Branch involvement. Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins explains what's happening.

Trust in Snell, the lawyer who actually helped take down Trump university has a, got a couple of theories about the ongoing Matt gates investigation, uh, that he's been sharing with the public by the way, this week, because we've got a lot of new information to deal with first and foremost, just to recap everything that's happened so far this week with Matt gates on Monday, a federal judge granted a request by Joel Greenberg, the former Seminole county tax collector at the center of the investigation, granted his request for a second delay in his sentencing. So now instead of being sentenced before Christmas, Greenberg is not going to be sentenced till I think March around March-ish. So that is an incredibly long delay after already having a two month delay. And the reason for this is because they have determined that the information Greenberg is giving to prosecutors and investigators is so valuable that he deserves this delay so he can continue cooperating.
We also learned that of the new information he has given them. It has led them down new paths. It has implicated new individuals. They've got all kinds of things happening, but of course, and this is the thing that a tourist and Snell has been outspoken about this week. We learned that the secret service is conducting part of the investigation. And if the secret service is conducting part of the investigation, then that means the executive branch is somehow involved in this. And that's where Tristen Snell. Again, this is the attorney who took down Trump university. He has a theory and the theory goes, Matt gates may have tried to buy himself a presidential pardon? Now that's about as far as the theory goes and Snell did in fact, put that out there this year. Um, here it is. Did Greenberg have information on Matt gates trying to buy himself a pardon from Donald Trump?
Is that why the secret service is now involved in the investigation he tweeted? So here's what we know about the whole pardon situation. We do know it was reported earlier this year by the daily beast. The Greenberg wrote a, essentially a confession letter to Roger Stone asking Roger Stone to get him a presidential pardon. And in the letter, Greenberg specifically says me and representative Matt gates engaged with the women. One of whom was underage. We paid them for sex. We need, or I need a presidential. Pardon? Roger, can you do this? And there was discussion of possible, you know, payment. So that's Greenberg though. That's Greenberg. Why is Snell assuming it could be Matt gates? Well, we don't know. Snell is an expert tourist in Snell understands how these investigations go. I am not an expert. I am not privy to any kind of, uh, information about any of this. So right now it is all speculation, but that certainly raises an interesting point. Could Matt gates have been negotiating with Donald Trump to get his own presidential? Pardon?
I don't know how I feel about that because I would think that if Matt gates needed a presidential, pardon Donald Trump would have given him a presidential pardon? Right? Like, doesn't that make sense? Matt gates has been exceptionally loyal to Donald Trump, except of course for the one-time he wasn't.
