At the end of September, on the 29th day of the month to be specific, NUP’s members Hon. Allan Ssewanyana mp, Makindye west and Muhammad Ssegirinya, mp, Kawempe North, were arrested by police on allegations of being behind murders in Masaka that centered debates of the month of September, till date, they have been in custody of law enforcers, an act considered to be unlawful by the members’ of the party mostly.
But also, a few days after event, on 8th October 2021, four time former presidential candidate Dr. Kizza Besigye, announced a new pressure group, called people’s front for transition.
