‘Don’t meddle…’: India’s stern warning to OIC over its misleading remarks on Hijab row

The Ministry of External Affairs has ripped into the Organisation of Islamic Council for its statement on the Hijab controversy in India. The Indian government in a strongly worded statement, condemned the remarks by the General Secretariat of OIC calling them misleading and motivated. India also urged OIC to not interfere in its affairs and claimed that OIC continues to be hijacked by vested interests to further their nefarious propaganda. The OIC while expressing concern over the Hijab protests had said that the continued attacks targeting Muslims on flimsy pretexts by 'Hindutva' groups with impunity, are indicative of the growing trend of Islamophobia in India.
