A Kremlin-run news station in Russia aired what it claimed showed Ukrainians using mannequins, posed as dead bodies, to exaggerate war casualties. Our researchers found a source who was there and Google Maps to look into it.



QUESTION: Does the footage aired by Russia-24 show the Ukrainian military using mannequins to exaggerate war casualties?



ANSWER: This is false. Using Google Maps, we traced the buildings in footage sent by Russian filmmaker Nadezhda Kolobaeva to a Russian television set and not Ukraine like Russia-24 claimed.
