Ambulance ramping occurring on a ‘regular basis’ in rural Victoria

Rural Doctors Association Victoria’s Dr Dan Wilson says GPs in rural Victoria are experiencing ambulance ramping on a “regular basis”.

“What that means is that patients don’t receive the high level of care that they deserve and can sometimes result in delays to receive appropriate care,” Dr Wilson told Sky News Australia.

Dr Wilson said they are also facing shortages across other healthcare professionals, including “nursing colleagues” and “paramedicine colleagues”.
